Apply this one technique to your business and you will have more leads than you know what to do with.

As someone that runs a marketing agency, I’ve looked at hundreds if not thousands of websites and ads, and talked to just as many business owners.

And after a while, I had a realisation.

I noticed there was something that all the real successful business owners did, that nobody else seemed to be doing.

Something that sets them apart from the rest.

And it’s not something that costs any money either, so I was confused why only a small percentage of businesses were doing it.

That’s why I’m going to share this discovery with you.

This one marketing move could flood your business with more leads than you can handle if you get it right.

What Most Businesses Are Doing

About 95% of all the websites and businesses I’ve seen are basically the same.

They say the same things with the same offer.

“At XX we’ve been doing XX service for XX years. We do high quality work at affordable prices.”

Cliche, cliche, cliche.

Business owners then wonder why nobody is reaching out to them.

Well why would they?

In your customers’ eyes you’re just one of many businesses saying the same thing.

This may be when you’re asking “What else am I supposed to say then?”

Don’t worry, I’m about to tell you.

How To Stand Out From The Crowd

What sets that top 5% apart from the rest is that they have this thing called a USP.

It means a unique selling proposition.

It’s something that sets them apart from all the other businesses in their niche.

And answers “Why should I choose you over all the other options?”

I’ll give you an example of an absolute killer of a USP… you may have heard of it.

Domino’s famous, “Pizza delivery within 30 minutes or it’s free.”

This put dominos on the map when they were still establishing themselves as a pizza company.

There was nothing special about their pizzas, they weren’t insanely better than the competition.

However, they did appeal to their customers’ needs in a different way.

A way that nobody else was doing at the time.

Getting a pizza delivered to your doorstep quickly while it is still fresh and hot.

Now if you own a home service business, I wouldn’t recommend giving away your services for free if you don’t finish in 30 minutes like Dominos.

That’ll just run you dry.

But you can take inspiration and do something similar.

I saw a roofing company’s ad on Facebook a while ago that I’ve talked about before that does this really effectively:

“Re-roofing done in 4 days or we’ll send you back $1500.”

Doesn’t that stand out so much more?

If it were me looking to get my roofing re-done, I would definitely choose them over everyone else that just says “We do high quality work for affordable prices.”

And everyone else does say that!

So if you can be the one to say something different, you’ll stand out like a flare in the vast sea of businesses.

Creating Your Own USP

The trick is to dig deep into your ideal customer’s pain points.

You want to find out what makes them tick. What makes them move.

Whether that be talking to your previous clients, scouring reviews people have left about your company or your competitors, reading forums to see what people are complaining about.

You want to pick out all the common points that people either love or hate about companies in your niche.

Then all you need to do is let everyone know that your company either does or doesn’t do those things.

I’ll give you a quick framework that you can look back to:

Step 1: Identify your customers’ frustrations.
Step 2: Choose one pain point to solve. (The best ones are pain points that a lot of people are talking about but no companies are fixing.)
Step 3: Create a bold promise or guarantee.
Step 4: Spread the message EVERYWHERE.

It’s really that easy.

Your competitors are still blending in. This is your chance to stand out.

And I promise you that if you nail this technique, you’ll never have to worry about getting leads again.
